All round experience of bench joinery is essential and applicants must be able demonstrate that they can work on their own initiative from drawings and cutting sheets. Your knowledge should include the manufacture of box frame windows sliding sash, casement windows, doors, screens, reception counters, and ideally include staircases. The ability to machine and mark out would be an advantage although not essential.You should be qualified with either NVQ Level 3 or City Guilds Level 3 in joinery.
